Our Story

 

Execupay was founded in 1974, by Gerald Stowers, Sr. & Dee Stowers in San Antonio, TX under the name Dial-A-Check. Dial-A-Check was founded on conservative, small, family business values. We were proud of things like “having no debt” and “the office over the garage”. Born from the idea that small and medium sized businesses needed a payroll service they could rely on, trust, and afford just as much as any large business.

 

In 1987, Dial-A-Check began expanding through franchise locations and grew to 48 franchises. Today, we have nearly 180 franchisees/licensees throughout all 50 states and continue to grow at an amazing pace. We are one of largest providers of payroll service technology in the country. In 1997 we changed our name to Execupay, primarily for marketing purposes. Through the years, we have evolved from a payroll company to providing a full array of employer services allowing our clients to better manage their human capital. Today, Execupay strives to combine our vast experience with today’s technology to bring innovation to market. This innovation, coupled with world-class customer service, empowers our clients and simplifies their lives.

 

Execupay and its sister companies are still 100% owned by several generations of the Stowers Family.
