Our competitors manufacture their own time clocks. Because they design their own proprietary hardware, they must charge for their development costs in the price of their clock. The built in software is usually non-upgradeable, so you can expect no new features or enhancements. Since all their money is made when you buy their clock and software, they have little incentive to provide a warranty longer that 90 days or 1 year. Many of our competitors do not use highly coercive magnetic stripes on their time cards, which makes them vulnerable to magnetic damage.  Just one touch from a magnet is enough to erase this kind of card!
